Shade matching and care
How to pick the right shade, and how to keep the hair looking new.
Picking a shade
Match to the mid-lengths and ends, not the root. Rooted shades (the ones with a root level in the name) are for clients who want a natural shadow at the base and easier grow-out.
Stylists: the Color Ring has every shade cut from the same hair as the wefts. Hold it against the hair in your light. Not a stylist? Email a photo in daylight to info@blumango.hair and we'll point you to the closest two.
For the full day-by-day routine, see the hair care guide.
Washing
- Brush through before washing, ends first.
- Sulfate-free shampoo, lukewarm water, downward motions. Condition mid-lengths to ends only.
- Air dry or blow dry on low with a heat protectant.
Styling and color
- Heat tools under 350°F, always with a protectant.
- Toning and glossing are fine. Lifting is not recommended.
- Sleep with hair in a loose braid.
Returns
All sales are final. Hair is a hygiene product, so we can't accept returns or exchanges. If something arrives damaged or wrong, email us within 48 hours with photos and we'll make it right.
